Ferry Ride & Hike

17km, 720m (7 hours of hiking)

Hop a ferry, and after a short but scenic 20 min float, head for the trails and hike on beautiful Bowen Island.
The 17km trail starts within walking distance of the Ferry, and starts as a wide easy path with negligible elevation change (to Killarney Lake). After the lake, the proper trail to the top of the mountain starts. We'll loop at higher elevation, enjoy the 360 degree views from the North Peak, and eventually meet back to the trail and the way we came.

The pace will be moderate, but with opportunities thrown in for photos.

...and here are some recent photos in a trip report from June 13.

We'll stop for a snack at the peak and possibly along the trail.

If time permits, we'll stop in at a local coffeeshop or pub before catching the ferry back to the mainland.
