Itinerary:
People can choose to cycle or not - but this is a way to beat the fireworks traffic!

For those doing the full event, we shall meet the south side of Park Royal Shopping Centre and then go for an evening cycle ride along the beautiful Ambleside - and then for some distance further along the shoreline (until we run out of path...). Our aim though is to be crossing the Lions Gate Bridge by 9.00-9.10pm at the very latest though...

We shall then coast down through Stanley Park and and cut down to English Bay.

The Ambleside portion of the cycle ride will be very easy - the Lions Gate Bridge will require about 5-10 minutes of very steady peddling uphill though (depending how fit you are - I am not so I don't go that fast)

We shall plan to meet those who chose not to cycle around 9.30pm at a location to be determined, but it will be west of Denman Street.

We shall then find outselves a place to sit and watch the fireworks! The fireworks are a part of the annual "Celebration of Light" held in Vancouver each year, where a number of countries compete over several nights.

The Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10pm and on this night, we will be watching the magnificence of Spain (a real nation of pyrotechnic experts!):

After the fireworks, those who cycled will have to return to West Vancouver. You can chance it that a bus will have spare space on the racks in front (any bus between 250 and 259 and heading west on West Georgia Street will be stopping at Park Royal), or just cycle back over the Lions Gate Bridge (~10-15 mins, cycle traffic pending).

If people wish to have a drink in there somewhere, I am open to suggestions.
