| Itinerary: |
~7.5km, 235m, 2h.
(distance and time can vary depending on group wishes,
weather conditions, behavior of dogs)
Evening hike...get the dog out for some fresh air, exercise
and socializing.
The trail starts at the east end of Keith Rd in West Van.
We'll follow the wide trail, past the fence that protects the
Suspension Bridge properties, and then turn off in to the forest
and head toward the dam on the gently rising
trail.
The trail is wide and easy walking, so sneakers or trails
shoes will be fine. (no street shoes).
We'll stop for few viewpoints, and briefly at the top of the
dam, and then come back down the same trail. Although
the trail is generally an easy one, we will mix in on-leash and
off-leash stretches and mix easy walking with a sometimes
brisk and steady pace to make sure we're done before dark.
People without dogs are also welcome, but be aware that
you will have to be fine with varied dog behavior.
